The mosquito since it can carry many different type diease being viral or bacterial.

mosquitos reminds me I gotta get my yellow fever updated for my upcoming trip to fish pavon and if I get lucky we may try for payara. I researched this a bit ago, falling coconuts killed more in 04 than shark attacks by 4 to 159.<br /> my luck. get away from the shark and hit the beach only to be wiped by a coconut.

Probably skeeters, but fleas killed almost half of the world population in the 14th century.<br /><br />Over time I don't know if malaria and yellow fever (skeeters) have accumulated as many fatalities as the black plague (fleas) did, but the BP certainly killed a bigger portion of humanity alive at the time.

Most plagues have been spread by insects of one form or another

i thought the black plague was transfered to humans by rats which got it from fleas.

The rats were immune carriers, but it was the fleas that transferred it to humans.
