Ok, so it is carb rebuild next on my agenda, also looking through the forums it seems that It might be a good idea to bring my 25 year old engine into the 21st century with an electric fuel pump?
What say the wise ones? here are my questions
will an electric pump perform better than the mechanical one in terms of cold starts and vapour lock etc?
what is the GPH rate of my old Carter pump? cant find this info anywhere?
will a "Holley red" 7psi 97gph pump do the trick?
thanks fellas

Ayuh,... That Mechanical fuelpump has faithfully pumped fuel for 25 years,...
If it's gettin' Tired, replace it with the Same....

There's absolutely No advantage to an Electric fuelpump,... None,... Nada,.... Zer0..
