I have been using the Garmin GPS II Plus and III Plus for years for salmon fishing Lk Michigan. I buy them on ebay for $30 to $50 and use them for about 3 years and toss them. Problem is their internal 15 year battery wears out plus they lose pixel lines on the screen and they are not fixable as they are too old. I have 3 of them sitting on my work bench at present. I want to replace with a stand alone gps that is not combined with a fish finder and do not want to spend too much $$$. I only need to find the pier in the fog and return to way points where the fish are. I am looking at a Garmin 152H which is under $300 on ebay. My graph is a Lowrance X107CDF and sits on the left dash and works great. The gps sits right in front of me on the console above the steeriing wheel so it is easy to see. Thoughts?
