Re: which is a better boat
While "better" can mean different things to different people, And we sure could use some more info on your priorities and budget considerations, here is my 2 cents worth.
1) You can never go wrong with a sea ray. While you can find people that will blast on every boat made, sea ray has a-lot of very happy owners. Sea Ray knows how to power boats propperly, knows how to lay them out right, has excellent fit and finish and know's the features that are important to "cruiser" type of boat owners. They have one of the best re-sale values around.
2) Cruisers- Their boats have a great layout, great features, and certainly a-lot of "wow" factor. Not a bad re-sale value with them either.
3) Larson- A great entry level boat. I would compare them to Bayliner, Maxum, Four Winns, etc.
You get a-lot of boat for the money. The fit and finish is less than great, things are done on a budget...and it shows. The resale is pretty bad.
There are many boat manufacturers out there. The boat and manufacturer that you choose should be directly related to what type of boating you will do and what you expect of the boat. Since you are looking at a 34 foot, I would start by asking this one very simple question. Which manufacturer has experience building boats this size and bigger? I haven't seen any 63 foot Larson's around, have you??
