Which is a better deal?

2001 Merc.EFI 225hp, 250 hours for $5500

or

2007 Yamaha 140hp, new 6month warranty $6700

Is the Yamaha DI or carbureted? If it is DI, go with that.

Oh, and is the Yamaha 2 stroke or 4 stroke? If it is 4 stroke go with that.

Huge difference between a 225hp and a 140hp. What boat is this going on, and what's the max hp rating for that boat? If it'll take a 225, you'll be pretty disappointed with the performance of a 140...guaranteed.
