Hello, well after my last outboard blew up...I now need another.
Problem is, I have two outboards of which to choose. One is another 50hp force, 1987 model.
The other, a 1971 60hp johnson.
Both have recently been gone through, and besides the johnson being a little more well $100 more..they are pretty much in the same shape.
With the 50hp force I had, wehn it was actuallt running right, I could do 31mph. With the 60hp, what do you think the mph gain would be? I know prop pitch and all that...just asking..figure another 10hp should be able to do something more...
So which outboard is better, easier to work on, easier to get parts for...and basically which one is not gonna blow up on me like the last one did.
