I had my set two sets of volvo SS props in my garage as well as my friends dual SS volvo props and some how we cant tell which ones belong to who? He has a 34 Rinker and I have a 27 chaparral both sets of props are counter rotating SS F series volvo props. I thought he just gets the larger props but my friend thinks he gets two larger props and two smaller props. There are serial numbers on each prop and two sets have a 3K on them and the other sets have 5k on them. My friend has bigger volvo engines than I do. I have 4.3 OSI engines if that helps. Does anyone have any suggestions? thanks

You dont mix and match the sizes on those props.... if you have a set of f3s and a set of f5s, then thats how they go. and there is a significant pitch difference between the two.

I'm not a duo prop guy but:
Your friend may be confusing larger and smaller with a primary and secondary prop.My term for the leading prop and the trailing prop.
Assuming the 5K is the" larger" set it appears they would go on the larger motors.

Re: which prop is which???

For any given DuoProp set, the front prop is physically larger than the rear prop. So if you are going by physical size you will both "get" 2 large props and 2 small props.

Now as to who "gets" the ones marked 3 versus the ones marked 5, hard to say. Larger boats typically "get" lower pitched props than the same engine in a smaller boat. Since you have smaller engines in a smaller boat, well, that logic won't help much, sorry.
