Which way should I put these seals in?

So I finally bought a lower unit seal kit for my 65' 9.5hp and I forgot what way the seals need to be installed. I attached a couple of pic's showing the seal with the parts that they go into. My question is what way does the spring inside the seal face? Thanks

Flat side out.

Spring is on the oil side.

Sounds good. So pic 1&2 the seal is correct right?
