I stopped at the control structure on Catahoula lake. Got my 8' 6weight fly rod from behind the truck seat and started tossing a streamer to the edge of the current thinking crappie. On the second cast i got a hit and he broke the leader. I found a piece of about ten pound test on the bank and started fishing again. I caught about a dozen white and yellow bass before they tore my last streamer up to were they wouldnt take it any more. They aint but about a pound and a half or two pounds for but they fight like a bull. They dont stop running and fighting at all. When you pull them out of the water there still swimming full blast. They have never been one of my favorite table fish but they are all heart and a blast on a fly rod.
