I hope this is an ok questions to ask here. I didn't get any response from the engine area. I have a little bit of white smoke upon starting my engine. I heard it could be moisture in the combustion chamber. Any advise on how to keep water out of that area?

It could be moisture in the cylinders. Does it happen every time you go to start it? Have you checked for water in the oil? You might also take a look at the plugs.

Re: white smoke

Water vapor is often associated with white smoke, it could be something as simple as condensation or it may be more serious (head gasket :( ).

As SL said, check the condition of the oil & plugs.

Is it FWC or RWC? Is it overheating?

Aldo

Ok, it is not overheating and it is a fresh water only boat.

Re: white smoke

This could be nothing, or it could be the earliest signs of exhaust manifolds or risers needing to be replaced. As said above, check the spark plugs for signs of water.

What will the signs look like? Water and oil seperation on the plugs?

Re: white smoke

You may or may not see water on the plugs. The thing to look for though is do all the plugs look about the same. If you have water getting into one or two cylinders (as in blown head gasket) those plugs will most likely be a lot cleaner than the others.
