white wire 2000 9.9 four stroke e/strt

Can anyone tell me what the white wire in the engine pigtail harness is for. I'm trying to wire a 2004 side mount control box to the enigne and don't know what the white is for. I think it may be the charging wire from the alternator but not sure <br />Also anychance someone could send me a wiring diagram for this engine(mnw001@hotmail.com)<br /><br />Thanks
