Who all here went boating on New Years Day?

Gorgeous weather here on the Gulf Coast. Highs near 70 degrees. Water was calm. We made half-hearted attempts to fish, but I think we just wanted to get on the water and go fast. I actually ventured through Pensacola pass and out into the Gulf a teensie bit in my 17 footer, trailing a Stretch 25 lure for grins.

Well, I might have been tempted, but 33? and 35 to 50 mph winds kind of talked me down.

Beautiful day here. I cruised on the Gulf up to Dunedin and came back on the ICW.

Maiden Voyage on the 2nd if that counts...

Mid 20's and winds sustained at 30, my face froze right off. It was still fun

I read your thread,ngt. Think you did the right thing. I got excited just reading it. A little adventure never hurt anybody.


I went fishing. It was soooo nice out in the ICW I droped the hook and spent the night. Glad I kept that jar of peanut butter onboard. Made for a good breakfast.
