i recently purchased a 1989 "marquis".it's approx.17 to 19 ft.it has an open bow and a 140 mercruiser in/out. i got "marquis" from the emblem on the side.the seats and floor are being redone so i can't be more specific. i don't have the title yet as i am buying it through a friend of a friend. it's a ski boat in deicent condition except for the floor and seats.now after all that, i am asking if anyone knows the make of the boat and where i can get info. on it. thanks for the help.

Assuming that Marquis is the company name, and not a model, this might be of interest. <br /><br />If the Hull ID number starts with "MRJ", then it was built by Marquis Boats Inc. Out of business on 4/21/82.<br /><br />If the hull ID starts with "MML", then is was made by Marquis Marine Enterprises, of Murphy MD. They are still in business, phone 301 563-3885.
