The logo on the side suggests its a Sea Nymph

The hin you posted indicates it might be a SeaKing.

Sea Nymph has been around for a very long time. Sea King was a Montgomery Wards Brand.

Looks identical to my 1980 Sylvan, I'd guess it's of that era, somewhere in the early 80's, the newer ones have don't have the long side support on the outside of the windshield. I've seen plenty of Sea Nymphs with dual or side consoles.

I believe the hull was made by Starcraft/Sylvan/SmokerCraft, and sold to Sea Nymph.
Boat was made in July of 1982.

Motor is of similar vintage (1981-82-83).

Looks to be a 16', possibly 18'.
Closest model would be a Starcraft 16 SS or 18 SS.

If you are looking for photos or ideas on how to fix it up, check out the Starcraft forum here:

Or the restorations here:

Many years back StarCraft was bullied by the govnt for trying to get a monopoly on the alum boat market so the company was broken up and many of the starcraft employess started companies making boats themselves. Many were just copies of starcraft such as smoker craft, sylvan, sea nymf and also made models for Montgomery ward and sears. If the hull is in good shape you will be fine as it was only the real oddball names that had serious issues. If the boat has lasted this long you should not have any major problems. I did own a sea nymf many years back with no complaints, also owned smoker craft, sylvan and currently a starcraft and all have been good boats.

Now they are all owned by Brunswick Corp.

I'd be interested in where you heard/read that ^^^, not that I dispute it, but having been around the SC drydock and doing lots of online searches, I've never heard that before.

Besides:
Now they are all owned by Brunswick Corp.
is no longer true. Brunswick sold Starcraft in 1996 back to the Schrock family.

It's currently under the SmokerCraft brand w/ all of these makers:

Anyway, interested in where you got that info about the breakup of the family business.

I don't follow it that closely but it seems at one time Brunswick was buying up everybody. Don't they now own both Lund and Alumacraft?

I dont know who else owns whoever, but I've read quite a bit starcraft, and had never heard the breakup ahead of a monopoly prosecution..
