I need to replace the switch on an older Sears Diehard 4-speed trolling motor. I tried Sears parts store, but the switch is no longer available. The Model is 217-591540. I've tried searching the web, but no luck. Is there anyway to find out who manufactured the motor or where I can get a replacement part? Sure will appreciate any help.

Re: Who manufactured--older Sears trolling motor

Not sure about this exact motor, but I've had different Sears products (several years ago, a mid-80's 5HP outboard, more recently after buying a used weed-whacker) and when I called their 800 number they were able to get me a parts/service manual, and they seem to be able to get parts for the oldies as well...hope this helps.
