There are 5 houses in 5 different colors in a row. In each house lives a person with a different nationality.
The 5 owners drink a certain type of beverage, smoke a certain brand of cigar, and keep a certain pet.
No owners have the same pet, smoke the same brand of cigar, or drink the same beverage.
Other facts: The Brit lives in the red house. The Swede keeps dogs as pets. The Dane drinks tea. The green house is on the immediate left of the white house. The green house's owner drinks coffee. The owner who smokes Pall Mall rears birds. The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill. The owner living in the center house drinks milk. The Norwegian lives in the first house. The owner who smokes Blends lives next to the one who keeps cats. The owner who keeps the horse lives next to the one who smokes Dunhill. The owner who smokes Bluemasters drinks beer. The German smokes Prince. The Norwegian lives next to the blue house. The owner who smokes Blends lives next to the one who drinks water.

The question is : WHO OWNS THE FISH?

AUGH! <br /><br />I think I broke my thinker <br /><br />Can one OWN a fish? I thought they were like cats. You don't own them, they let you feed and house them but they do what they please. At least the cat who lives here does. Really an attitude cat; my grandkids named her Catzilla.<br /><br />Now, what were we talking about?

Had a ditzy blonde friend get it in about 20 minutes.

Took it to work, 2 electricians and 2 maitenance men worked on it together for 2 days, then they gave up and asked the blonde. Go figure?

Prince was the name of the fish so it was obviously the german. (Prince was the son of the King salmon)

Obviously.......The state!! You have to get a fishing license to fish. For some species you have to get a special stamp. It's a state enforcement officer that ensures those rules/laws are followed by "the people". If one fails to follow the laws, the state enforcement officer is empowered to sieze all fish and fishing gear, the boat, the trailer, and the towing vehicle, as all of them were used to violate said state game laws.
So the fish must then be the property of the state.
