West Marine is a public company. Ticker symbol is WMAR.

roscoe i use to haul there freight out of N.C. a few years back, they were the BIGGES pain in the ass customer i have ever ever dealt with.

There was also a half-hearted boycott attempt on them for thier contribution to an anti-fishing organization, about a year ago.<br /> <br />I 'boycotted' them long before that tho, because of thier outrageous prices.<br />There are too many other local stores that don't punish me as nearly as bad for breaking my toys.

I have to agree that prices at west are about the highest, but I must give them some credit because they have some stuff in stock at their stores that other stores will have to order..<br /><br />Iboats is best though....
