jtexas,
My family is from Oklahoma so that term is familiar These are familiar as well:
Pertnear: as in "That girl's hair is pertnear as log as she it."
aimta: as in "I didn't aimta do that."

Two interesting facts about folks from Oklahoma:
1. It's alright to call them Okies as long as you carry a smile on your face when you say it.
2. They consider Texas to be Southern Oklahoma.
:D

Apperantly "whole nother" has bigger implications here than just a "canoworms".

As an example " Yanno honey, since we have kids now were gonna need a whole nother boat!" :D

Re: Whole nother

That came from the same place as "an apple".

The fruit was originally called a napple. People spoke it run together and eventually moved the "n".

So, first "an other" became "another". In order to emphasize, another became "a(whole)nother" to distinguish it from a partial "nother". :D

That sort of evolution of English has happened so much that the English don't speak English any more. :D
