Why did the fuel leak with motor tilted UP?????

So I got intermitten probles once in a while, seems that motor does not run at its full potential cetain times.

So I am just checking thing out, Tilt the motor UP and squize the primer bulb.

What I hear is fait whissing and some fuel dripping(Whith the motor tilte UP).
So I don't know it is normal or not.

Is there an overflow discharge valve? Or overflow causes carbs to leak?

Need some info before I dig into them.

Think of the carb float bowls as a glass of water when you raise the engine they are turned on their sides anfuel runs out the vents

Interesting..

i was just coming home with this question. I noticed a small stain from fuel dripping when I hd the boat in the water overnight on te weekend. Seems there was fuel dripping from the engine somewhere. I had it tilted. Wasn't sure where it was coing from though.
