Too bad the lone officer didn't have any support. The NJ adam henrys should have been taken "downtown" so that the people that pay the bills wouldn't be endangered on their highway. Should have been a search of the vehicles. Got to be glad they have a place for JD's in NJ :D

As one would say in N.J., "Well, boo f***ing hoo!" Who woulda thunk that Virginians were such a bunch of whiners. I've been in plenty of states where the locals FLY past you like you are standing still...That's business as usual in most places..I'm sure they ( N.J. Troopers)are trained to drive at speeds faster than the posted limit.....How fast did the local have to go to catch up? 105? N.J. would have probably given Virginia guys an escort.....Please....JK

I'm sure that they are trained kopec. I know that I had to go through an extensive driving course. Thats no the point. The point is the NJ guys were hauling a$$ when there was no need to, and was then disrespectful.

Big "B", I see cops go flying by all the time, all over the U.S. & I don't blink an eye.....I guess they do things a little different down south.....Maybe the convoy thing got everyone upset....I do agree that the citizens concerns should have been addressed & that they (N.J. guys)should have shown the officer the same respect that they would want to be shown....JK

I don't watch network TV new so I can't say if it has been reported on TV in NJ, but I DO listen to the major AM radio news stations (1010 WINS and WOR 710, both from NYC) every day during my daily 2 hr commute. Haven't heard anything about it. Which is surprising because our media is so darned far left liberal its ridiculous.

Throw them in jail. That's where anybody else would be if they were doing over 30 mph above the limit. What makes them above the law?

95 Mph on I-81 is dangerous, pure and simple.

Jinx

How can you defend them kopec? They obviously thought they were above the law. You said "I guess they do things a little different down south." Well, down south they don't like abuse of power and the elitest "I can do it but you can't" attitude of govt. and govt. workers.
I think the NJ cops set a bad example. Why should I respect the rule of law if police officers who are sworn to uphold the law don't respect it?

first they were running people off the road second 95 is too fast for non emergencys ,and everyone should of pulled over and respected the cop from virginia, just jersey cops with attitudes. maybe its not to late to send up a speeding ticket to all of them.

Some cheese & crackers with that whine? How could they be running them off the road? Keep right except to pass. Move it on over......I think that everyone is upset down yonder because they were out of state cops....JK

J.kopec that is EXACTLY IT!!!!
What part do you not understand?????????
Out of state cops not responding to an emergency do NOT have the RIGHT or even PRIVILEGE to drive as fast as they want to.
On top of that,
There is a matter of respect!! They are representing ALL POLICE, not just some cops from NJ!!
I spent 5 years driving on the Autobahn, by your reasoning (I was used to it), I should have been able to run 125mph on a regular basis back home. Just because I am used to it, doesn't mean everyone around me is. "Keep right except to pass?? Are you stuck in '20's?? Where do you drive? The only place I have ever seen anyone use that rule is the Autobahn and the "Will Roger's Turnpike" and then only because the cops will ticket you for NOT following that rule. Everywhere else it is some idiot running 54 in a 55 who will refuse to move over. I got into a big argument with my sister over that. She will do that, I told her she was more of a danger of causing an accident by her "enforcing" of the speed limit. She could not understand why people would always flip her off either as they passed her on the right. She thought they were just rude. Never did get her to see the point.
Overall, I see the need for a good sense knockin' not cheese and crackers.

AK Chappy

:) No cop is above the law, When they think they are, they should be removed from the force!!!!!

Those of you, that think it was ok for him to speed, must also think it is ok for a cop to break into a store and steal cigs on the midnite shift and then call in a B&E!!!!

Next, you will be calling them heros because they went to N.O.!!! ;)

Re: Why I'm glad NOT to be from Jersey

Wajaja..That's CHP.....Everyone on the east coast & Oregon & Washington knows that California drivers are "Driveingly Challenged".....They don't need to steal anything...Cig's are cheap in N.J. so I think they buy them like everyone else....They are heroes who wanted to get home to their families after dealing with the hell hole that N.O. has become.....I'm sorry that Vaginia was between point "A" & "B"...BTW...Wajajaja.....Shame on you for bashing N.J. State Troopers......I would guess that the other 10 states that they crossed through didn't whine like the Vaginians....Get over it!...To my knowledge no one died....If you are not passing...Move it on over!....Jk
