Re: wii

Yup, bought one for my daughter last Christmas. It's great. I've played all the usual games that come with it and have since added the Tiger Woods Golf (amazing) and fishing game (I have Hooked! but the Rapala Fishing Frenzy game is even better)

I've played NBA 2008 on it as well. Great if you like basketball.

Lots of fun with the physical side of it. My daughter (she's 10) loves the American Idol game (like karaoke)

Adding Rock Band with the guitar, vocals and drums this year for Xmas.

Great game console for family fun and definitely the most kid friendly. They're even adding hockey to it now.....

Re: wii

If anyone have noticed Wii games are usually non violent like some of the other games that come out. My son plays it more than his xbox.

Re: wii

We've reached the point in our life that we don't really get gifts "ourselves" on birthdays. Last year I bought my wife a WII for her birthday. She had been wanting to get one for the kids but couldn't bring herself to it. Wow is that thing fun. I now leave the boxing alone. I boxed one day for about 20 minutes and then quit. Next day I boxed for about an hour. I didn't realize it till the next morning but I pulled about 20 muscles in my chest, arms, and back. Nope, no more boxing for me. I'm now the Mario Kart JediMaster. ;)

We love our WII!! It is great fun. We only have Wii Sports and Wii Play but, we have so much fun with these simple games there is no desire to buy any more. Watch out though when you have had a few to drink you might need kleenex for the tears from laughing so hard...

Re: wii

We have had more injuries playing the wii then we would actually have playing outside. That said, the 30mins or so of laughter when someone does pull something is quite fun.

The wii rocks!
