Will a 1973 merc lower unit fit a 1969 merc

Hi I was wandering if anyone could tell me if a lower unit from a 1773 3 cylinder 65 hp mercury would fit a 1969 or 1970 4 cylinder 65 hp mercury with the same length shaft? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No, it will not. Housings are different sizes...
