Will a 1987 Johnson 110 powerhead swap onto a 1998 Evinrude 115 spl lower?

I have a 1998 Evinrude 115 spl with serious power head issues. I also have a good running 1987 Johnson 110 vro with suspect lower. Will these powerheads interchange with the other?

Yes they will.-----Issue will be the new style wiring.----Easy to change adapt for that.------Easier to swap lower unit and cowling I think.-----Drive shaft upper spline area may need minor modification.
