Will a Donzi 182 Medallion fit in my garage?

Looking for past/present owners of a Donzi 182 Medallion (mid '90's model year).....will this boat and single axle trailer fit in my garage?

I am more concerned about the height of the boat on the single trailer than the length or width.

My house was built in 1998 and has a standard garage door opening of around 6'8" - 6'10" in height.

What are your thoughts? I appreciate your replies.

I know nothing about the Donzi 182 but::
All most impossible to tell.Trailer height could vary maybe as much as a foot or more according to
wheel/tire size, how the trailer is laid out ,springs above or below the axle, how high the bunks/rollers are.I'm 6 foot;my 18 foot utility 36" at the bow,26 amidships, the gunnel is about chest high to me, bow is in my face though that could be lowered some wth the jack.
My guess is with the windshied it wouldn't even be close to fitting. Can't you measure or get someone to measure it?
An 18 footer could be as much as 24ft boat and trailer.

I'd agree with Steelespike - you need to get a tape measure and measure both the opening and the boat yourself. Too many variables for someone to say whether it would fit. If it's a long distance sale, ask the owner to measure it for you. Then and only then will you know if it fits.

It's really going to depend on the trailer.. Leaf spring axle or torsion axle? My 18' boat has a trailer with a torsion axle, my garage door opening is standard height, I have about 6" of clearance at the top of the windshield. The trailer is LOW though, the rear two frame cross members are only may 5-6" off the ground at their center lowest point. My 18' boat is actually 18.5', on the trailer with the lower unit down the total length is 20', I have a 20.5" garage depth.

It can only be answered with a tape measure.

I agree that I am worried about windshield clearance. I am not sure that I can drop the tongue of the trailer enough to get that windshield thru the garage.

Thank you to everyone that replied....consensus is that one really cannot tell unless the measuring tape confirms it.

The rest of the story is that the seller of this boat says it will fit in a garage, even though he has it stored elsewhere. Thus I am suspicious.

Thanks again to all!

Which bodies of water do you frequently boat?

Don't forget the old trick of letting some air out of your tires if it comes down to a squeaker where you need just an inch or two more to get under that door...;)

Also consider if your driveway slopes into your garage. If your driveway is level then a standard measurement will work. If your driveway has a grade, then the boat may be at a slight upward or downward angle making it taller at points as it enters.

you may or may not be able to set your garage door opener to pull the door an extra few inches which, depending on your rails, may or may not give you some extra clearance... probably a 7' opening (which is standard)... if your opener is not set right, you could be losing a few inches.
