Will a Powerhead swap from 1980/ 70hp to 1974/ 70hp motor.

Hello. I have a 1974 evinrude model #70443N with a blown powerhead. I have a 1980 evinrude model # E70ELCSA with a damaged lower unit. Will the good 1980 powerhed mate to the good 1974 exhaust housing/lower unit? Will this work/bolt up. I believe the 74 motor is mechanical/hydraulic shift and the 1980 motor is straight mechanical. Any help/info would be appreciated, thank you.
