Ok this may sound dumb but I have a Achilles HB-310 with a 9.9hp outboard, a few days back my 5 year old open one of the air valves while we were cruising on the water and most of the air went out if not all, when I got to close the valve, quickly moved to a dock and inflated the back, both tubes lost air but the boat was still in useable, my question is what happen if both air valves are open will it sink?, another question some times I get water in the boat from waves or if wot it feels like the transom goes way too low in the water (seems like water will come in) and some water splash in, thats before planing speed, well in the event of getting lots of water in the boat will sink??newbe here so lots of questions, thanks..

According to their web site, Achilles boats are NMMA certified (National Marine Manuf. Assoc., which requires positive flotation on boats under 20'). So, in theory, if you loose all the air and flood the boat, you should have flotation. Your boat has 2 air chambers. When you lost air from 1 of them, the other chamber lost firmness (but not any air). Each air chamber depends on pressure from the other to maintain that firmness, as the chambers are separated by a membrane that expands and contracts, depending upon the pressure in the adjoining chamber.

If the load exceed the buoyancy, it will sink!
Most RIB's have a weight limit stated in the specs, check that out.
On the other hand, I have run RIB without pontoons on, just a question of speed.

If excess of water is entering rib from water splashes, open water valve located at low transom while planning to release water from deck interior (takes it's time) close plug back while still planning as some valves leaks water again inside when reaching a complete rib stop. Excess of water intrusion makes rib much heavier to plane. Get a propper can or sponge to collect/dry water left overs.

Instruct daughter not to play with valves or the big fish will come and take her to the depths :D

Even if you fill you boat with water to the top when your tubes inflated, boat will not sink (I did that ).
Btw: Achilles it's a very good brand. Look at your transom plate, boat capacity should be listed there.

You can use your inflated rib as a summer tub if you like, but if all tubes are completely deflated and rib is completely flooded to the top, will sink, maybe not to the depths, but surely under sea line including engine
