Will Alpha 1 Gen.2 Swap with MC-1 Gimbal Housing?

Hey everyone my first post, me and a buddy just bought a '85 Grady White with a 5.7. And are currently trying to get it in the water this summer, but boat needs a good amount of repairs. When we bought the boat the owner gave us a spare 5.7 and the out-drive from a '93 Bayliner. We got into the spare 5.7 from the Bayliner and it was toast, had water in the combustion camber, the lower is something we are trying to use. So I believe and correct me if I am wrong but we have a MC-1 Out drive and my question is if the Alpha 1 Gen 2 from the Bayliner will bolt up to our boat. We are swapping the engine with a re-manufactured 5.7 so getting access behind the motor inst a problem. I am looking to swap everything over, gimbal housing and all. I just wasn't sure if there will be an opening problem or the existing holes in the transom will not line up, also if there will be an engine shaft problem.

Out-drive in the Grady is: A444665 (this was very worn out so I could be off)
Out-drive out of the Bayliner is: 0D872149

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

The 85 is an Alpha One, not MC1. With the addition of a couple of holes at the very top of the cutout in the transom, the Gen II gimbal housing will slip straight in.
