I spent most of this month wet sanding and compounding my gel coat out to a shine. The color came back and the shine came out good, but not like new. I put 1 coat of 885 on it, and plan to do one more. But last year nufinish did not prevent a small section from fading back out.
I want to stress the correct terminology, my gel coat is fading, but still had a shine. It is not turning to chalk like other boats.
Price is of no concern, I simply will not do this job again, and will not have the budget to do a repaint. I need to do whatever to keep this gel coat from going bad again.
