I have a 17 mako with a 1999 classic 125 merc. i want to install dual batteries but was wondering if the charging curcuit on the merc will be able to handle them both. there already is a perco? dual battery switch under the console which the 1st battery is connected, so i think that it would be fairly easy to do the install. any advice would be appreciated!!

thanks,

tim

Use the thickest battery wires you can find, and tag everything to make sure you put wires back correctly when you reinstal your batteries in the spring,it can be confusing if you have to get them in a tight space.

Jim

Don't worry about it being able to charge them both, because you are never going to put that battery switch into the "both" position except for an emergency start.

Thom
