will the lower unit fit my other motor

I currently have a 140 inline 6 s/n 525741 1980/81 mercury engine that does not run and was wondering if the lower unit is compatiable with a 115 inline 6 s/n 5168964 1979 . Is there a site or link where I could look up compatable parts.
The 115 runs but was curious if some of the parts are interchangeable.

All the inline 6 lower units interchange as they are 2:1 ratio except some early 1350 and 1150 that where 1.78 ratio. If swapping internal parts you have to go by the unit casting# as driveshaft bearing and a few others things are different...
