Hi,<br /><br />well i took my stater apart and the base that the brushed go in is broke. can i solder it back together and will it still engage with a broke base

Howdy, TA.<br /><br />You don't say what engine you have or the model and year.<br /><br />I would go looking for a new base.<br /><br />Good luck.
