Before I bought my current aluminum prop I was considering stainless steel and decided against it. I'm thinking about another new prop and once again am considering stainless but I've heard that SS props are harder on the lower unit if you strike something. Since striking something seems to be the biggest problem I have with props, I'm wondering if a SS prop that uses the XHS hub or the flo torq2 hub will prevent damage to the lower unit? I had read somewhere that the hub is designed to fail if there's an impact to save the lower unit but I can't remember where I read it and I can't find it either.
Thanks.
Thanks.
