I think what you're asking is can you make that motor, and fishfinder do what the i-pilot link system does.

The short answer is NO. I'm assuming that the 55 lb is a legacy model just given the vintage of the boat. IDK w/o the whole model and s# Also the fishfinder is not Ethernet compatible.
Terrova, PowerDrive V2, Riptide ST or Riptide SP model, it is compatible with the i-Pilot system., PowerDrive models produced before 2007 are not compatible.
The i-link add on is about 800 bucks on iboats but none in stock b/c I think most people usually just upgrade to a new trolling motor. The i-pilot add on accessory is 450.00
Autopilot doesn't interface with the fishfinder, and is not available as an add on accessory.
AUTOPILOT? CONTROLS: AUTOPILOT ON EQUIPPED MOTORS ONLY The MINNKOTA AutoPilot uses a magnetic compass and a microprocessor chip to keep the trolling motor pointed in the direction you want to go. Each time the wind or water current moves the boat off course, the AutoPilot senses the change and steers itself back to the original heading. The AutoPilot direction is set every time a steering change is made. To change direction, steer until the control head points to the desired course. The AutoPilot will pull the bow of the boat around and correct automatically until the boat is moving in the direction you chose.
Us2 lets your us2 compatible fishfinder, and us2 trolling motor share transducers by using a us2 plug (sold seperate) Also US2 transducers on trolling motor, and si/di units are not compatible.
If you want to stick with 12v and want the features of the i-link system

not to mention Minnkota is offering a 55 dollar mail in rebate for the unit.
W/e ethernet compatible humminbird Usually nothing below a 700 series but idk with the Helix models Maybe Helix 9?
