It won't fit. The trim system shown was first introduced on the 1984 75hp inline 4 and 90 and 115hp inline 6s. In 1985 it was also used on the V6s. <br /><br />Your engine needs the twin external cylinder with in the boat pump system.

When you say midsection, are you refering to the entire midsection including the exhaust housing or just the transom and swivel brackets?
