hi i have been offered a Johnson V4 Sea-horse 115HP Magflash Outboard Engine 2 stroke unsure of years as yet.....i have a v4 90deg 120 1989....anyone know if the sea horse midsection will bold staight on . and will the shaft gear linkage match up....thanks in advance

You need to put up the serial number of the Sea horse, no other way to tell year.

The model number is what tells the year on an OMC or BRP. If I remember correctly the Magflash was an older crossflow. If it's 1978 or newer the lower units will interchange with the V4 looper but not if it's 1977 or older. The powerheads will not interchange between a crossflow and looper mid section.
