Will this tube "blow" my engine

There will be a pic below for those that do not know of the kind of tube i speak of.
We have been looking to get one of the big mable style tubes for sometime, they are the ones that you sit on like a couch. My wife has been really into this idea of a tube, thinks will enjoy it more then a standard tube. There are knock off but the actual mable tube is pretty pricy new, so, found one on facebook marketplace finally, it has some wear and tear but holds air and otherwise a great tube for the price $70 and they are around $400 new.

So they have a few different "models" or "sizes" i did not realize this one is the biggest version the "Super Mable" and my god this thing is huge, but im thinking, well bigger the better right? I show it to one of my friends and he is like your gonna blow your engine pulling that.

For reference is a 20 foot bow rider with a 5.0.
Now technically, you can blow your engine do many a stupid things, but we are a family of boaters, not a bunch of teenagers we wont be trying to go as fast as possible and fling anyone off the tube, gentle tubing i would say.

I am wondering how much i need to worry about stress on the boat and ways to reduce said stress, i already have the transome hooks harness as i know the ski eye on the back of the boat is not rated for this. The picture is below, i have our normal tube on the super mable for reference.

Give me some advice guys.

The tube will not blow your motor. Same as having to much weight in the boat, it's just harder to get on plane. If your going to pull it most the time, then suggest changing prop to a lower pitch, this will bring the rpm up and make it easier on the motor. When not puling tube you can over rev

bingo.... have a lower pitch prop and keep both on the boat. if you intend to tow, drop the pitch, and run with it, if just gonna putz around, put the other one on... about a 5 minute procedure to do.

Having done a lot of tubing and pulling tubers over about a 1/2 century, agree with the above. Which tube, prop, etc you use will depend on the tuber and what they're looking for. As things have progressed from the old car/truck inner tubes, and the smaller "tubes", they got bigger and potentially more comfy. If the tuber(s) are looking for a nice easy ride, go big, but get it just on-plane fairly quickly so you don't submarine them right away

I have the Super Mabel tube and yes it is for sure a very large water toy. My grandkids like it because it is pretty stable for the younger kids when pulled fairly slow without sharp turns but it can also provide a pretty exciting ride for the older kids when pulled faster with sharper turns. I like the size (we often have 1 adult and 2 kids on it) and the fact it has a back and sides. I don't like the size, I know a contradiction but it is really big and heavy. Last summer I would fold it up and put it in the in-floor ski locker and inflate it on the boat once we reached the spot for towing. It is so big that you can't hardly get to all three inflation points while confined in a boat, and my boat is a 26 1/2' bowrider. I agree that you won't blow your engine up towing a Super Mabel but I found out that it is so big and heavy that with 2 or 3 people on it if you are pulling at a slow speed and doing steep turns there is a very large amount of drag. My boat has a 8.1 Big Block 380 hp and when going slow in a steep turn I need all of it. Now when pulling straight or gentle turns it slides across the water pretty well. My plan for this summer is to inflate it at home, transport it in the bed of my truck to the Boat Storage facility, tie it down to the back of my boat, and go to the lake. Oh that reminds me of another drawback to the Super Mabel. It is a very wide toy. It takes all the width of my boat on the swim platform so it makes boarding and un-boarding kind of a pain since we usually get on and off my boat via the swim platform. My Grandkids love it and they also love the big roll up floating mat that we take. As you can imagine when I have Super Mabel all blown up and I have the big roll up mat onboard I feel like I need a 35' long bowrider. I'd never sell the wife on that I hope this helps.

I have a similar tube, one thing to make sure that it doesn't collet a bunch of water between the tube and fabric outershell. Mine did and I couldn't figure out why I wasn't get on plane with no one even riding in it
