Winch

Looking to get a new winch for the trailer for my 15 foot closed bow starcraft aluminum (whole package a bit over 1000 pounds). Any recommendations (winches, or places to get them) for a decent winch at a fair price. Anyone know anything about Reese winches?

To be honest, I haven't seen any winches I'd describe as "bad" nor "really good". Any of the Fulton 900 up to 1300lb winches here http://www.iboats.com/Fulton-Single...71336831--**********.536250728--view_id.38145 will do ya fine.

Be sure it uses a strap instead of metal cable or poly rope. That will make it a "decent" winch.

Nah not too much. The only thing I would say would be overkill is if you went with a dual drive (gear reduction) model which would have you crankin' and crankin' and crankin'.
