hey everyone let me just say what great site this is I have just one queston can you buy the locking pin that locks the two gears on a winch as mine is broken or do I have to weld the lug back on that broke off

Hi Jas,

Welcome to iboats!

It is probably simpler (and safer than welding) just to get a new winch, they are not that expensive.

If it is a Fulton winch, just contact the company. They stand behind their product and have great customer service.

I would be easier to buy a New one. Top of the page boat winches.????

I vote on the new winch. They don't cost that much and you get a new strap, hook, hardware, etc. Swapping one out is easy too, particularly if it's a bolt on.
