I have a 1999 sea nymph sportfisher gls 195. Its in great shape, running newer 4 strokes on it. I have to tighten up the windshield. There is black plastic strips on the bottom of the windshield and i'm assuming they will reveal the screws to tighten the windshield. I know these strips are probably original and will break when trying to take them out. Anyone know where i can purchase new ones? Is this just a generic type of strip that is common and can be replaced? is sea nymph still around just under a different name?
thanks

Re: windshield help

My Four winns windshield was loose when I bought the boat. I had pull back the black strip at the bottom of the windshield to expose the screw heads, so you are right about that. When pulling back the strip, I tore it so be careful. I was lucky in that only one screw was loose (my wife would disagree), and I only had to pull back the strip a couple of inches.

I would also like to know if a replacement strip was readily available.

Re: windshield help

My boat has hard plastic strips that fit in a channe in the windshield framel. I just used a tiny flat screwdriver to pull them out. They snapped right back in with no trouble.
