Anyone ever fish at Peach Bottom power plant on the susquhana, Right on the MD/PA line? They say there is really good winter fishing there because of the warm water discharge.

Haven't tried it but my uncle's cottage where I boat quite often is only like a mile upstream from there. My dad and I tried to fish it on a fairly windy day over the summer and there was some seriously weird wave action going on there and we got the heck out.

yea, i heard you have to be careful around there, and you can't get too close. is the water discharge in the middle of the river, or on the shore line

Re: Winter fishing at Peach Bottom power plant

i went fishing on monday afternoon. Most of the day i was fishng near that wall, where they pump water out from the bottom of the river. And on either side of the wall, they had 2 pipes that were 5 ft above the water, which shot water out of them. I didn't get a bite all day. Was i in the right place. The water was only maybe a degree warmer near the pumps.

At the end of the day, i went to the far southern end of the power plant. Where there was a canal that had water comming out of it. It had doos they could raise and lower, like flood gates.
That water was almost 10 degrees warmer.
