Just me boasting how lucky I am to have got a hold of a stunning Glastron CVX16 roger Clark UK version.
Needs a polish and some engine work but all original and in tact.
Anyome any experience with these ? What are they like to drive ?

What in the world is a roger clark UK version? My '83 CVX16 was the first "Carlson " I owned. A little too small for me, but mostly I'm just not an outboard guy. That said it did perform really well with the 115 Mercury outboard. Definitely a boat best suited on smaller lakes, which we have about 15,000 of in MN.

Thanks blind date. Lovely boat.
Almost identical to mine.
The roger clark model was a rare thing indeed. Roger Clark was a UK rally driver who dabbled into power boats in the early 80’s. He bought the mound rights from glastron and was given permission to build his own take on the CVX16 and spirit too I think. He made them a bit sturdier and upped the HP rating then put his own UK suited more durable interior finish. Most of them had Yamaha on the back. Not many were made before they went broke.
It from the last production year in 1985, cream hull and green metal flake in the gel.

Here's the link to the Minnesota Classic Glastron club. Pretty active group. Stop in and say hi! A good resource for any questions you might have while you work on the boat.

There are only really 4 of us over here that I know of that have a classic.
One has a us cvx16 outboard
one has a us cvx16 ss inboard. Stunning
and one older guy has a literally mint Carlson scimitar oh my what a boat this is. Like it’s just out the factory and wrapped in cotton wool since bought new in 78

OK very cool, it looks pretty much identical to a CVX16 built in the US from the pictures. Definitely stop in the MN site and post pictures of your boat they'll get a kick out of that.

Yes, nothing more unique and cool than a Scimitar.

One of the guys in the club has a mint CV27 he's owned since new, stunning & 60 MPH + with twins.

And nothing more iconic than the stern of a CVX20 jet, an absolute work of art!

My brothers old Intimidator, a rocket with its raised X-dimension. They actually made some changes to the hull to slow it down before selling to the public.

For me, the V8 powered CVX18 is the ultimate Carlson hot rod! I'd love to own a California Special CVX18 like the one below.

Those are lovely. I’ll try and send a pic of my friends CVX. Also lovely and mint.
