First thing is Stabil in the tank and go for a ride.
Or put it in on the last trip out.
Leave the tank full.
Park the boat with the nose up,plug out.
The winterization could be as little as leaving the motor in the down position or,
fogging the cylinders and changing the oil and removing the batteries.
Try U-tube there are lots of videos that will help.

I do exactly as what Jerry said, stabil in the tank ran the engine until all gas in the lines is stabil treated. Leave engine in upright position and fog cylinders. Change LU oil, shoot new grease on all zerk fittings especially those in the king post and steering. Cover the engine and wait for spring. As for the battery, I just leave it disconnected but do a charge once a month. It's just too darn heavy to lift out of the boat. But if yours is not that deeply located in the boat, you'd be better placing it in the shed and put on floating charge. Of course, in my case the boat is just covered since I do not have a car port or garage to put it in.

i do stabil too. Last year I fogged the heck out of my engine b/c PO did so every year. My dad says he just sprays a little oil in each cylinder and spins the fly wheel a few times instead of starting it up and fogging through the carb. Jiggz is that what you do - just though the spark plug holes ? I'm really thinking that is all i will do b/c I run it all summer.

Yup, spray into the plug hole and rotate the flywheel to distribute it. Don't put too much as it will all ran down to the crankcase eventually.
