Well, I'm not fimilar with the 26Ft REGULATOR, But, This'll Apply Anyway.....
The Boat itself will have to be made Frost/FreezeProof.... Any Freshwater systems, Heads, Shore-water, Etc......
The Outboards, It'll Depend on How Long she's going to leave them Setting....
If she's going to Run them Weekly, or Monthly,
I'd just Shut them down,+ Walk Away....
Any Longer than that, I'd Stabilize the Fuel,+ Fog the motors.......
If she's birthed in the Saltwater, the Safest the motors can be left is in the down,+ running position......

I hear you MATT, I was asking the same thing. She told me the boat is a 1988 year with a repower a few yers ago. The boat is in a rather narrow canal, and she doesn't even have a water bubbler. When I asked her why she didn't want to pull it out, she said the boat yard near her wanted $200-$300 to store it for the winter. She doesn't seem to care about it that much>>>hell, I almost offered to pay>>>Hate to see a good boat damaged!!!
I think she got this boat as a settelment and only uses it to run around the bay from time to time. I only could wish for a boat like that!!! And to hear this makes me cringe!!! What can I tell her to change her mind???>>>She said her friend is a boat mechanic and that he will look it over in a few days>>>I can only hope he does the right thing. We have already had over a foot of snow this past weekend.

i'd simply tell her how much it's worth. i didn't take the time to price it, but an '88 regulator repowered a few years ago is still worth a lot. and only $200-300 to store for the winter saves the investment.
