Normally I have my engine winterized & annual service at same time ... for a number of reasons (mainly snow related) it still isn't done.
I had fully drained the block via the 5 blue plugs ... boat is on trailer also under cover in it's own boat shed.
As this delay is on-going .... perhaps I should put in anti-freeze.
I assume leaving block with nothing in it could accelerate corrosion.
I can run up engine on muffs to get it warm, should I then simply run it in a container of 50:50 antifreeze ??
Or shall I not bother to run it up and instead fill from engine .... ?? if the latter, can somebody tell me what hose(s) I should remove to pour in the mix ?
Engine is 2007 (carb) 4.3L Mercruiser.
It is raw water cooled (without air assist drain)
