I own at 2000, Bayliner 2455 with a 5.0L Merc. I/O. The boat is kept in water year round. I need to winterize for Dec. Jan. Feb., but occasionally get days during those months I would like to use the boat. The shop has always done the winterizing in the past but I would like to do it myself. I know there are freeze plugs I need to remove. Where are they located? Is there a way to drain the block with the boat still in the water? Do I need to add antifreeze? If so how? Do I need to winterize the head or holding tank beyond closing the raw water valve? How do I winterize the AC beyond closing the raw water valve and removing the strainer cover?
