Morning everyone:

I'm looking to winterize some outboards and need some information:

I am looking to winterize my 69 merc 350. It will be stored on the back of its boat and in the yard under a cover. What are the things I should winterize on the outboard (i.e. running gas out of the lines, application of fogging oil, etc...). What are some of the things I need to do to winterize the boat and gas can? Lastly, winters up here are typically long and can be harsh. Will this motor be alright stored under a cover out in the elements?

Thanks y'all for your replies.

Re: winterizing considerations

Oh yeah, I forgot:

Add to that list of things to winterize boat batteries. What should I do to protect these?
