Re: Winterizing...sortof
Here's my procedure for winterizing, but it also would be great for your use.

Use RV antifreeze in your case. Here is what you need.
1. Portable Sump Pump
2. Large container (I use a small poly kids swim pool
3. Premixed RV antifreeze for you area. Indy is 50/50 I used about 5 gallons (Caveat, with each use the mix will dilute with water left in the block,) Use hygrometer to measure)

I put the pool on the ground below the outdrive and drain plug area, pour my 5 gallons of fluid into the pool, set my sump pump into the pool, connect the muffs with my 3' hose and apply the pump some power. After I confirm the pump is working correctly. I start the engine, while always watching to confirm the pump is supplying the pickup with lot's of pressure. I let the motor run while watching the temp. I recommend doing this immediately after returning from the lake.

I still drain the block, to recover as much of my fluid as I can since I store it in a 5 gallon bucket with a lid. I simply use the sump pump to pump it back in my bucket.

It's really simple and I know with 100% knowledge that any fluid in the block will not freeze. So long as you continue to refresh the mix by dicarding a bit and adding fresh Antifreeze.

Note, Also in my case I run the Motor up to OP TEMP on the garden hose as part of my procedure, then I do my normal winterize stuff, switch the the pool, fog the engine, drain and put away.

I also recommend you keep stabilizer in the fuel in case you fail to take the boat out for extended periods..
