Winterizing

Okay, I have all the info now to winterize my Yamaha ox66. One last ? when i run the oil rich mixture through the engine how much oil is in it? Twice the norm, Three times???? Thanks

Your motor has oil injection so it has oil going in and through the motor when it's running, so maybe you should just be sure that you have a good dose of fuel stabilizer like Seafoam or Stabil Marine in your fuel tank, run your motor on the muffs and shoot fogging oil in the intakes until engine chokes down on it. The fogging oil has corrosion inhibitors to protect the motor internals. You can remove each spark plug and shoot some fogging or other outboard oil in each cylinder, turn engine over a couple of revolutions to spread oil into rings,then your motor is set for the winter. Of course drain and refill your lower gear case. It never hurts anything to spray motor inside shroud and outside with WD-40 or similar. Good Luck!
