Winterproof moored boat

My boat is moored on the river and I will want to run it occasionally through the winter but we get way below freezing. Is this possible with a Merc 888?

Ayuh,... Sure,... Just Drain the water out of the motor each time it's used...

Is your boat docked anywhere near electricity? If so get a block heater for it and keep it plugged in.

All good options. Sounds like you are on a mooring bouy though, not at a Dock. I would drain the water out after each use. Watch the weather and if you go away where you cannot get to it in case of a sudden weather change (temo drop), I would pour some antifreeze in the block when away for extended periods...
