Want to put some woden blocks in my wire areas so I can screw on wire ties to hold the wires neetly in place. Would exterier grade CDX plywood work or would it have to be covered to keep it from coming apart? I have starboard but was told that stuff is like impossible to glue to anything. Just don't want to put screw holes into battery copartment and inside my center console. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Re: Wire Standoffs

In a center console I would use plastic pipe, tubing (Hint visit lowes or home depot for the bulk stuff) If you use cdx exterior I would still coat it with a few layers of resin so it never comes apart.

Thanks Bob, what would you suggest for gluing them in.

Re: Wire Standoffs

Glues for plastic do not work but for the blocks I would use some 5200 and maybe a screw or two for a tiny bite. ie...... 3/4" screw through 1/2" ply
